The vacant cavity was full of various aromatic spices, such as myrrh and cassia (constructed from the bark of evergreen trees), before the overall body was stitched up. The important thing ingredient within the mummification was natron, or netjry, divine salt. It is a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium sulphate and sodium chlo
